Installation Projects

I make installations based off of a feeling I want to recreate through an environment people can enter. I prefer to use everyday or found objects and to rely on theatrical magic to transform them.

Wood I gathered from local graveyard trees- trees growing on the edges of church yards in middle Georgia. Joined together with embroidery and knitting threads, created, hung, and installed in my studio

Installation, gallery installation, found object installation
Found object installation, gallery installation, artist driven written recordings

A giant blind I created with wood from the surrounding area, salvaged wood from decomposing buildings in Asheville, NC, and new wood surrounding the older structure. Combined with buckets of river sand, plus several other components. Each item was treated in a certain manner to bring in it’s presence. I created a series of shells moving into a dense interior. With smells and darkness

Art installation, ghost reality, New Orleans
Backyard installation New Orleans, portal objects

Created in my backyard in New Orleans, an illustration of my interest of in trash, abandoned houses, items, ghosts. The house had a few invisible residents, was looking to make a space on the veiled visual spectrum. The ground holds so many layers of experience.
