Fetal Dolphin Protected by a Dragon

$4,700.00

A 36x49” mixed-media piece created with acrylic paint, watercolor collage, over heavy industrial cardboard, unframed**. Part of a mixed-media series created to explore the sub-conscious and the realms of the unseen perceived by ancient societies around the world. This one in particular is created with love thinking of the dolphins of the Gulf of Mexico. Dragons are water spirits, and I imagined this one lovingly surrounding the fetal dolphin as it grew in its mother’s womb. The symbols around it are also protective, and with framing it over an abstract to transport it over into a dream world- connoting the way dreams hold us from within and without our daily life.
